Troop 10 Westerly
Yawgoog Information Page
It's .
There are only days left til Yawgoog 2012.
Are you ready?
TROOP 10 WILL BE GOING TO CAMP
YAWGOOG JULY 3-10, 2011.
The cost per scout is $355.00. We are required to pay the bill 16 days
prior to our arrival at camp. If we do not pay on time we are charged an
extra $25.00 per scout. These are Camp Yawgoog policies not Troop 10
Westerly policies.
IF YOUR SON IS PLANNING ON
ATTENDING SUMMER CAMP WE NEED HIS PAYMENT BY JUNE 9th.
Parents have asked about making payments for summer camp instead of having to
come up with the total all at once. To help with this, Troop 10 will be
participating in the Yawgoog hat incentive program It costs no more to
participate in this program and participating gets your son a free Yawgoog hat.
Once we have made our final payment to Camp Yawgoog and for reason your son does
not attend camp, leaves camp early, or is sent home early, refunds will be
handled entirely by Camp Yawgoog.
We also have limited spaces for fathers who would like to spend a day at camp
with us. If you are interested please let us know soon, before all the
days are taken.
Your son will also need to have a physical before he attends summer camp.
Doctor Tafone will be available to perform camp physicals on June 9, or if
you would prefer to have your son see his own doctor, or has had a recent
physical and you need a form to take to his doctor please let us know. We
will need a parent to fill out a medical form before the physical. You can
either print out the form here or ask for
one at one of the troop meetings.
There is also limited financial assistance available if needed. There is
no reason that every scout who wishes does not attend camp.
Any questions please do not hesitate to contact the
Scoutmaster:
Troop 10 will be leaving for summer camp on Sunday July 3rd. We
will meet at the church at 4:30pm. We will have a truck to transport your
son's gear to camp. Please plan on driving your son to camp & see where he
is staying.
All of your son's gear should be in one foot locker with a lock. All
scouts will be wearing their class "A" uniform when we leave for camp, NO
EXCEPTIONS. We have some uniform parts if you need them. We also
have troop hats and T-shirts for sale if you need them. Your son will wear
his T-shirt to breakfast and lunch. He will be required to wear his full
class "A" uniform to supper.
Scout shorts are $38.00 per pair. If you can find a pair of shorts of the
same style and color as scout shorts, that will be fine.
Please remember when you bring your son home from camp that you will have to
transport his foot locker home.
